(1) A person shall not publish or reproduce the whole or any part of the contents of any public archive which is in the custody of any department of Government or statutory body without permission of such department or body.
(2) Any person who contravenes the provisions of subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $1,000 or to imprisonment to a term of 6 months or to both.
