(1) Subject to subsection (2), the Schedule applies in relation to a request for assistance under this Act made by a country outside Saint Lucia.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply in relation to an informal request for assistance under this Act which is transmitted orally, but in the event that such a request is accepted—
(a) it is required to be implemented only to the extent that the central authority for Saint Lucia considers reasonable; and
(b) it shall be deemed to have been withdrawn if a request in accordance with subsection (1) for the assistance concerned is not transmitted within such period as the central authority for Saint Lucia considers reasonable.
(3) Where a country outside Saint Lucia making a request for assistance under this Act wishes the request or any part of it, to be kept confidential it shall so state, giving reasons, in the request or in a document accompanying, but not forming part of the request.
